[Hotel Review Blog] Staying at The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa: Unparalleled Hospitality and Ultimate Comfort in a Luxury Hotel! Reviews and Ratings You Need to Know (Okinawa Travel)

Having stayed at The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa about five times, I can confidently say that Ritz-Carlton properties deliver exceptional hospitality.

In addition to its top-tier hospitality, the spacious architecture and serene surroundings of The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa ensure an incredibly relaxing stay.

In this article, I’ll share a photo-focused review of my stay to showcase the exceptional atmosphere of the hotel (some photos are from past stays, so the timeline may vary).

The Guest Room: Stunning Views and Supreme Comfort!

Let’s start with a review of the room itself.

This time, I stayed in the “Deluxe Room,” the hotel’s standard offering (some photos also include the “Bay Deluxe Room” from a previous stay).

The Deluxe Room is a spacious 45㎡ twin room as shown below.

The first thing that strikes you upon entering the room is the breathtaking view.

Through the window, you’ll see lush green golf courses extending toward the ocean. Perched on a mountainside, The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa offers unobstructed and magnificent views.

The main room features twin beds (135cm x 200cm) and a comfortable sofa.

On the table in the sofa area, I found fruit and a handwritten letter—a thoughtful gesture, though I’m unsure if it’s a standard service or one for repeat guests.

The terrace is spacious, complete with a sofa and table, providing a relaxing outdoor space—an essential feature of any resort hotel.

The view from the terrace overlooks the verdant golf course leading to the shimmering ocean.

The most distinctive feature of the Deluxe Room at The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa is the bathtub by the window (a view bath).

This open bath allows you to soak while enjoying scenic views of the sea and mountains—especially during the day, the experience is unparalleled.

There are two sinks, providing plenty of space and convenience.

The amenities were from the brand “Asprey.” I absolutely loved the fragrance of the soap and shampoo and searched for them after returning home, only to find they’re rarely available in Japan. I loved them so much that I ordered them online.

The shower room is separate from the bathtub, ensuring convenience and privacy.

The bathtub faucet has a modern design, and the large shower head provided strong water pressure.

The toilet is equipped with a bidet (washlet), of course.

Near the entrance, there was a shelf with an espresso machine and glasses.

The box beside the espresso machine contained various espresso pods, and the shelf drawers housed coffee cups and wine glasses.

At the bedside, I found an iPod loaded with music and a speaker. Unfortunately, both the speaker and the telephone seemed slightly outdated—I expect they’ll be upgraded soon.

The Serene Ambiance of the Hotel!

Not only were the guest rooms exceptional, but the shared spaces at The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa were equally impressive.

The hotel incorporates traditional Okinawan architectural styles in its design, including the interiors, landscaping, and furnishings, creating a calming atmosphere.

Throughout the hotel, the sea can be seen through reflective water features that resemble infinity pools.

The entrance lobby is stunningly spacious with a high ceiling that exudes openness.

The color of the hotel roof is unique and distinctly Okinawan.

The view from the terrace is nothing short of spectacular.

Next to the pool, there’s a library stocked with a variety of books.

The Night Views Were Stunning!

The lighting within the hotel was beautiful, and the night views were breathtaking.

The exterior is illuminated with lantern-style lighting, enhancing the ambiance.

This is the lounge in the entrance lobby. While relaxing in the guest rooms is enjoyable, strolling through the shared spaces was equally pleasant.

Ultimate Relaxation: Exploring the Ritz-Carlton Okinawa’s SPA

The SPA at The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa is located in a separate building.

It’s about a 5-minute walk through a lush forest path, as seen in the photo below. If requested, the hotel can arrange a cart, but I chose to walk.

Here is the entrance to the SPA building. You can also use the cart shown in the photo to reach the SPA.

The SPA is branded “ESPA.”

Due to the presence of other guests, I couldn’t take photos inside the SPA.

However, when no one else was around, I managed to take a photo of the relaxation area. The serene atmosphere was very calming.

I had a massage at the SPA afterward, though the treatment itself was fairly average, haha.

I Also Stayed in a Cabana Room!

Here are photos from a different stay in the “Cabana Room.”

The Cabana Room is located on the ground floor, allowing direct access to the pool from the terrace. The terrace also features a jet bath where you can relax in your swimsuit.

The room layout is nearly identical to the Deluxe Room.

While it’s disappointing that the room lacks views of the sea or greenery, the jet bath and direct pool access make it ideal for families or those who enjoy poolside relaxation.

What About the Room Rates?

Room rates in Okinawa vary greatly depending on the season—summer being the most expensive and winter the cheapest. During my stay, the rate was 70,000 yen per night. For a hotel of this quality, I found it to be excellent value for money.

This is a hotel worth traveling to Okinawa for, purely to experience its luxury and hospitality.
