All photos in this article, unless otherwise specified, were personally taken by me during my visit. I hope you enjoy these authentic and original captures!

During my trip to Okinawa, I stayed at “Ryukyu Hotel & Resort Nashiro Beach,” and I’d like to share my stay report.

“Ryukyu Hotel & Resort Nashiro Beach” is a resort hotel located in Itoman City, Okinawa, just a 20-minute drive from Naha Airport.

Most of Okinawa’s renowned resort hotels are situated in the central and northern areas of the island, requiring over an hour of travel via rental car or highway bus.

This time, I stayed at “Ryukyu Hotel & Resort Nashiro Beach,” a luxury resort hotel notable for its convenient location just 20 minutes by car from Naha Airport. I had been interested in this hotel since its opening. In fact, I traveled to and from the hotel by taxi and, thanks to light traffic, the journey took less than 20 minutes.

After staying at “Ryukyu Hotel & Resort Nashiro Beach,” here are three aspects that particularly impressed me:

  1. Convenient access—just 20 minutes from Naha Airport
  2. Ocean-view guest rooms
  3. Ocean-view guest rooms

In this stay report, I’ll primarily use photos to convey the atmosphere of the hotel.

Convenient Access: Just 20 Minutes from Naha Airport to Ryukyu Hotel & Resort Nashiro Beach

“Ryukyu Hotel & Resort Nashiro Beach” is a resort hotel in Itoman City, Okinawa, located about 20 minutes by car from Naha Airport near the southernmost tip of Okinawa’s main island.

As a newly developed hotel, the surrounding area is largely residential and agricultural land. With restaurants and shops located on the hotel grounds, it’s a self-contained resort, meaning there’s little need to venture outside for amenities.

Inside the Twin Ocean View Room: A High-Floor Retreat

I stayed in a Twin Room. While the room is 34 square meters, the ocean view and open layout make it feel more spacious than its size suggests.

The Twin Room is located in the hotel’s “North Wing.” I was fortunate to stay on the 11th floor, the top floor.

The Twin Room offers a relaxed and spacious atmosphere. The bedroom features two beds, a sofa set by the window, and a desk along the wall.

The beds were semi-double beds, each 120 cm wide.

The wall behind the beds is decorated with a wave pattern, adding a touch of luxury.

Across from the beds, there’s a work desk and a TV.

This is a photo taken from the window side, looking toward the entrance. The room feels spacious overall.

Here’s the bedside lighting and control panel.

In addition to regular power outlets, USB charging ports are also provided. (However, the ticking sound of the analog clock on the bedside table was quite noticeable. Since it’s placed next to the bed, a silent clock might be a better choice.)

This is the sofa set placed by the window. As I’ll describe later, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy the ocean view.

The work desk provides ample space.

An espresso machine was placed on the top shelf in the room.

The availability of decaffeinated coffee was a thoughtful touch, especially for enjoying coffee at night.

Glassware was stored in the upper drawer of the shelf.

The middle drawer contained teacups and tea bags.

The bottom drawer housed an electric kettle and an ice bucket, both in sleek black.

Next to the drawer, there was a refrigerator. The room did not include a minibar, and the fridge was empty. (Drinks and alcohol can be purchased at the shop on the first floor.)

An open-style closet is located beside the entrance, equipped with hangers and a deodorizing spray.

The lower drawer contained a two-piece swimsuit set.

A foldable luggage rack and fluffy slippers were also provided.

Here’s the floor plan of the 11th floor, where I stayed. You can see many guest rooms lined up. The hallways were quite long, so it took a while to walk from the elevator to the room.

Stunning Ocean Views from Ryukyu Hotel & Resort Nashiro Beach

One of the highlights of “Ryukyu Hotel & Resort Nashiro Beach” is the spectacular ocean view.

The ocean was visible from the room at all times, offering a soothing experience. This view alone made the stay worthwhile.

From the balcony, you can also see the hotel’s pool and beach. There was even a wedding taking place during my stay.

The balcony was furnished with two chairs, providing a comfortable spot to relax outdoors. Although it was February, the weather felt like early summer and was very pleasant.

Planes landing at Naha Airport could be seen up close, offering endless entertainment while gazing outside.

All the hotel rooms face west, offering an ocean view, allowing guests to witness stunning sunsets over the sea.

From early afternoon to evening, I enjoyed the beautiful changes in the colors of the sky and the sea.

At night, the pool was illuminated, creating a stunning visual effect.

Luxury Bathroom Features at Ryukyu Hotel & Resort Nashiro Beach

Let’s take a closer look at the sink, bathroom, and toilet.

The sink is finished with stone. While it has a single basin, the space around it is generous.

Amenities included toothbrushes, towels, a razor, a brush, bath salts, mouthwash, cotton pads, and cotton swabs.

The soap, body wash, and shampoo were from the brand “Miller Harris,” which I discovered is a luxury fragrance brand based in London.

Underneath the sink, bathrobes, a hairdryer, and bath towels were neatly stored.

The bathroom was fully tiled and featured a spacious bathtub, making it very comfortable.

The toilet is equipped with a bidet (washlet).

The hairdryer was a “VS Vidal Sassoon” model with excellent airflow.

Guest Room Highlights: Details That Make a Difference

Let’s explore the finer details of the guest room, primarily through photos.

The bedside lamp.

The bedside control panel.

The design of the wall behind the bed.

The design of the carpeted floor.

The finish of the wall behind the shelves.

The plush pillows.

The small items and power outlets on the work desk.

The air conditioning control panel.

The umbrella placed near the entrance.

The hotel map provided at check-in was very handy due to the expansive size of the property.

The room massage service was reasonably priced.

Shuttle buses to destinations like Naha Airport and Kokusai Street are available.

A Grand Welcome: Exploring the Entrance at Ryukyu Hotel & Resort Nashiro Beach

The entrance of “Ryukyu Hotel & Resort Nashiro Beach” is beautifully designed, with a direct view of the ocean.

From the porte-cochère, stepping into the grand entrance lobby reveals a panoramic view of Okinawa’s ocean.

The large chandelier was particularly striking.

The entrance lobby features numerous sofas, perfect for relaxing or waiting during check-in.

The check-in counter is located just beside the entrance. Due to the large number of guest rooms, there was often a queue during check-in and check-out.

The ocean-facing side of the entrance lobby houses a café where cakes are sold.

The terrace outside the entrance lobby also features sofas and serves as a café space.

The terrace seats offer views of the pool and the beach.

Relaxing at the Outdoor Pools and Beach

Since my stay was in late February, the outdoor pools were not yet open, but I was able to walk around the poolside.

The hotel features variously shaped pools. With six different pools, it’s considered one of the largest pool facilities in Okinawa.

The pools seamlessly connect to the beach.

The beach was clean and soothing.

At night, the pools were beautifully illuminated, creating a pleasant atmosphere for a stroll.

Discovering Shared Spaces: Amenities and Views

After completing check-in at the counter on the second floor, I headed to my room on the 11th floor.

The hallways were designed to be wide and spacious.

Ocean views could also be enjoyed from the hallways.

Passing through the expansive lobby, you’ll find the elevators.

This is the elevator hall on the first floor, which features three elevators.

I took the elevator to the 11th floor.

The blue carpet left a strong impression.

Heading to the guest room.

The hallway was incredibly long.

One side of the hallway is made entirely of glass, making it very bright during the day.

After walking down the long hallway, I arrived at my room.

The guest floor also had a laundry facility.

Introducing the Shop on the First Floor

After passing through the lobby on the second floor and descending the stairs, you’ll find a shop called “THE MARKET” on the first floor.

The shop was larger than expected and offered souvenirs, daily necessities, food, and beverages.

The hotel also features a wedding venue.

Although I didn’t use them this time, the hotel also has an indoor pool, a spa, and a fitness gym.

Dining Experiences at “MILANO” and “Sanraku”

I had dinner at a restaurant called “MILANO.”

Three restaurants were located within the same area.

“MILANO” was located at the far end.

Since there were other guests present, I didn’t take photos inside, but the restaurant exuded luxury.

(Image above: Referenced from the hotel’s official website)

There were three course menus available. I chose the “Vista Mare” course, priced at 13,500 yen, and will share the details through photos.

First, the amuse-bouche.

“Chilled seafood appetizer with a smoked finish.”

“Grilled white fish with risotto and seasonal sauce.”

Bread was served.

“Roast-grilled Japanese beef (MILANO cut) with gravy sauce, béarnaise sauce, and horseradish cream.”

For the steak side dish, I could choose from six different ingredients to create a custom plate.

Finally, there was a “Seasonal Dessert Wagon,” where you could pick as many desserts as you wanted.

I chose tiramisu, chocolate mousse, and macarons.

Both the meat and fish dishes were plentiful, so I was quite full by the time I got to the dessert.

On another day, I wanted a lighter meal, so I had dinner at a restaurant called “Sanraku.” This casual eatery offers not only soba but also Okinawan dishes.

A Morning Feast at “Buffet Dining Nashiro”

Breakfast is served in “Nashiro,” a buffet-style restaurant.

The buffet offered such a wide variety of dishes that I ate enough to skip lunch.

Why Ryukyu Hotel & Resort Nashiro Beach Is Worth Visiting

The biggest attraction of “Ryukyu Hotel & Resort Nashiro Beach” is its convenient location, just a 20-minute drive from Naha Airport.

It’s the perfect hotel when you want to avoid spending over an hour traveling to central or northern Okinawa resorts and wish to enjoy a resort experience with ease.

However, as it’s a newly developed hotel, there’s nothing much around it. Rather than using it as a base for sightseeing, this is the kind of hotel where you stay in and enjoy the restaurants, pools, and beach. Its proximity to Naha Airport also makes it a great choice for the last day of an Okinawa trip.

I had a great stay and would love to visit again!
