Just a 3-Minute Walk from Yurikamome Takeshiba Station
“Mesm Tokyo” is situated approximately 3 minutes on foot from Yurikamome Takeshiba Station. This hotel is located in the heart of Tokyo, so I think it is easily accessible from any location.
I took a taxi from Shimbashi Station and arrived at the hotel in about 5 minutes.
The following is a quote from Google Street View: “Mesm Tokyo” is located on the 16th to 26th floors of the high-rise building Waters Takeshiba. In the same building, the lower floors are occupied by “Atre Takeshiba,” and the middle floors are occupied by offices.
Introducing “Chapter 1: Top Floor Guest Rooms”
First, let’s introduce the guest rooms.
At Mesm Tokyo, there are four ranks of rooms available, ranging from “Chapter 1” to “Chapter 4.” This time, we stayed in the “chapter 1” room, which is the most standard type of room.
Incidentally, there is only one “Chapter 4 Suite Luxe” in the hotel. “Chapter 3 Suite” is available as a suite room, with 7 rooms in the hotel.
In this stay, I was able to stay in the room with the best view on the top floor of “chapter 1” (according to the staff).
The room was on a high floor with a nice view, and it was very spacious and open.
It was a twin room with two beds, each 135 cm wide.
The bathroom has glass walls, making the room feel even more spacious.
This is the view from the side of the bed.
One of the most distinctive items in the guest rooms at “Mesm Tokyo” is a piano. Incredibly, a Casio electronic piano called “Privia” is installed in every room.
I couldn’t do anything because I can’t play the piano, but this piano could also be used as a Bluetooth speaker by connecting it with devices like iPhones.
A sofa and table set was placed by the window.
There is a shelf that holds items like coffee, cups, and a refrigerator.
Under the shelf, a trunk is placed as a decoration. (The trunk was empty.)
On the upper shelf, there were mineral water and a coffee set placed.
The coffee named “THE BLEND” is an original coffee created in collaboration between Mesm Tokyo and Sarutahiko Coffee.
The electric kettle also has a stylish design.
I brewed some coffee and enjoyed it deliciously.
The top drawer contained items such as black tea and caramel.
The caramel comes in an original package that is a collaboration with FUJIYA’s Milky.
It’s a black tea teabag.
In the lower drawer, there were items such as tea ceremony utensils and an ice bucket.
A tea whisk was also provided, allowing me to enjoy authentic matcha. Elements of “wa” (Japanese style) designed with foreign tourists in mind have been incorporated.
In the refrigerator, there are beer, orange juice, and mineral water, all available for free.
On the shelf by the window, there were items such as a tablet device, a remote control, and an air purifier.
You can adjust the lighting and air conditioning with a tablet device.
On the bedside table, there was a telephone, an alarm clock, and a notepad.
There is a brush pen and a paperweight, and it is a unique notepad incorporating elements of calligraphy.
This is a bedside lamp and lighting control panel.
It also has a power source and USB charging ports.
Beside the entrance door, a Bearbrick named “Tokyo Waves” was displayed. When you take a photo of this figure with a flash, you can get interesting pictures.
It is said that the figure uses a special ink that reacts to light, but in order to prevent spoilers, I will not post photos taken with flash.
This is the floor plan for the 26th floor, which is the accommodation level.
The rooms on the right side of the floor plan below face northeast and have a garden view (Hama-rikyu Gardens). The room we stayed in this time, located on the lower side (facing southeast), overlooked Tokyo Bay and had a view of the Rainbow Bridge.
View from the Guest Room
This is the view from the southeast-facing guest room on the top floor, the 26th floor. The room was located higher than the surrounding buildings, offering an expansive view.
You can also see the Rainbow Bridge and Fuji TV at Odaiba.
I could also see airplanes taking off and landing at Haneda Airport.
The bay area’s tower mansions and the Sumida River’s pleasure boats were also clearly visible.
The night view of Tokyo Bay is also beautiful.
Exploring Bathroom Designs
The bathroom had a luxurious feel with its gray marble finish.
It’s a bathroom with glass walls.
The amenities of “THE BLEND” were collaborated products with the men’s skincare brand BULK HOMME.
There were also bath salts from “THE BLEND.”
It is a vanity with a white (artificial) marble top placed on a dark wood table.
There were also products like “THE BLEND” lotion and Sekkisei toner available.
The amenities were unique, contained in a box that resembled a book.
Bubble nets, brushes, shower caps, razors, cotton swabs, and the like are neatly stored.
The bathrobe also had an original design, with a belt designed to look like a kimono sash. There was a video explanation on the tablet about how to tie the string.
It’s a chair that was placed in the bathroom.
The hair dryer is from SALONIA, and it has a strong airflow.
There was also a digital scale.
The glass-paneled bathroom had blinds that could be opened and closed electronically.
The toilet is on the opposite side of the hallway from the bathroom.
The toilet was spacious and had a washbasin inside.
Exploring the Closet
The closet was located to the right of the entrance, opposite the bathroom.
It is a spacious closet with depth, relative to the size of the room.
It is a wooden hanger with a sense of unity.
A shoehorn and a brush were hung up, and there were flip-flops at the bottom.
In the lower drawer, fluffy blue slippers were prepared.
In the top drawer, there was a safety box and an iron.
Exploring Room Details
I will randomly introduce the details of the guest rooms.
It’s a design of a bed.
It is the air conditioner’s control panel.
The flooring consisted of a carpet designed with a beige pattern and gray tiles.
The walls are covered with grey wallpaper.
Exploring the Ground Floor Entrance
I will be introducing the first floor entrance.
There is a driveway at the hotel.
There was a “Mesm Tokyo” logo.
The luggage cart was also an original design from “Mesm Tokyo.”
When you enter the entrance on the first floor, there is a counter. The main check-in counter is located on the 16th floor, but even here they asked for the guests’ names.
I will proceed to the elevator hall. Attention to detail was seen in the interior.
The elevator was installed in a location set back from the wall.
I headed to the 16th floor where the lobby is by elevator.
Explore the 16th Floor Entrance Lobby
This is the elevator hall on the 16th floor where the hotel lobby is located.
When you go down to the elevator hall, you can see the Tokyo Skytree right in front of you.
It is a hotel lobby with a high ceiling.
The hotel lobby was connected to a space leading to the back, where the bar & lounge “Whisk” was located.
It was the best view overlooking the Hama Rikyu Gardens.
I was directed to the front desk and went through the check-in process.
This is the “Whisk” bar & lounge located at the back of the lobby.
There is also a restaurant called “Chef’s Theatre” on the same floor.
Amenities and original goods were being sold at The Mesm Tokyo.
It’s a night view from the 16th floor lobby.
On the night of our stay, there was also a music performance event.
Heading to the 26th Floor for Accommodation
I headed to the 26th floor, which is the accommodation level, using the hotel’s guest elevator.
This is the elevator hall on the guest room floor. The elevator arrival lamp had a design resembling bamboo (Take in Japanese); could it be a bamboo design because this is Takeshiba?
There was a sign on the top floor that read “Executive Class.”
It is a hallway with a calm atmosphere, featuring beige and wooden tones.
The guest room door had a sharp, triangular door handle.
Visiting a Fitness Center
I tried going to the fitness center on the 17th floor.
The facility was equipped with a full range of equipment such as treadmills, weights, and machines.
What Are the Hotel Prices?
・Hotel rates vary significantly depending on the time (season and day of the week).
・It is quite common for the price to differ by several thousand yen just by being off by one day. Hotel prices in Japan have been soaring recently, so they are likely even higher now.
