During my trip to Okinawa, I stayed at the Mercure Hotel Okinawa Naha and would like to share my experience.
Mercure Hotel Okinawa Naha is located directly in front of Tsubogawa Station on the Yui Rail, just a 1-minute walk away. Tsubogawa Station is the fourth stop from Naha Airport Station, taking only 8 minutes by Yui Rail.
This hotel offers excellent access to Naha Airport and is reasonably priced, which is why I’ve stayed here multiple times.
Here are the three aspects of Mercure Hotel Okinawa Naha that impressed me the most during my stay:
- Located right in front of Tsubogawa Station, just four stops from Naha Airport
- Only a 1-minute walk from the Yui Rail station
- Reasonably priced accommodations

Conveniently Located: Right in Front of Tsubogawa Station on the Yui Rail
Mercure Hotel Okinawa Naha is situated right in front of Tsubogawa Station on the Yui Rail, offering excellent access.
The photo below is taken from Google Maps, showing that Mercure Hotel Okinawa Naha is almost directly across from Tsubogawa Station on the left. Nearby, there are convenience stores and even a Don Quijote, so daily shopping was hassle-free.

Standard Double Room: Compact Comfort with Smart Design
I stayed in a “Standard Double” room this time. It was a compact 16㎡ room.
The room featured a large triangular window, which was its standout characteristic.
Opposite the bed, there was a large desk, a shelf, and a 32-inch LCD TV.
The bed was a 140cm-wide double bed made by Simmons.
This is the design of the wallpaper behind the bed.
During the day, sunlight streamed in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, making the room bright and comfortable.
The desk in front of the bed was also quite large, providing ample space for work. The desk was integrated with the shelves.
On the desk, there was an electric kettle, an ice bucket, bottled water, and tea and coffee supplies.
The glass-backed shelf held coffee cups and glasses.
The desk was equipped with a wired LAN port and two power outlets. There was also a pink alarm clock.
The desk’s surface could be opened, revealing pamphlets and a LAN cable inside. The underside of the surface featured a mirror.
A refrigerator was located under the desk. It was empty and there was no minibar, but each floor had a vending machine corner.
Swimwear (one-piece type) was also placed on the shelf under the desk.
The bedside table held a telephone and a notepad.
On the opposite bedside table, there was a single power outlet.
The bedside lamp was dimmable, and there was also a flexible arm reading light that could be adjusted freely.
There was a foldable suitcase rack.
An air purifier was located next to the bed.
Next to the entrance was a closet with hangers at the top and disposable slippers and deodorant spray at the bottom.
Inside the closet door, there was also a security box.
The Standard Double Room I stayed in faced north, so the view directly in front was obstructed by the neighboring building.
Although the view in front was just a building, looking to the sides through the large triangular window allowed a partial view of Okinawa City.
This is the floor plan of the 9th floor where I stayed. It shows various types of rooms, and the Standard Double Room I stayed in appears to be one of the smallest rooms on the north side.
Bathroom Features: Practical and Fully Equipped
The bathroom was a unit bath, combining the toilet and shower in one space.
Amenities included razors, toothbrushes, hairbrushes, and other necessities. (The sheet-form toothpaste was unique, worth noting.) The hairdryer was Panasonic-made with average airflow.
The shampoo and body soap were provided in refillable bottles, though the brand was unclear.
Welcoming Entrance: Spacious and Functional
Let’s take a look at the hotel’s entrance.
The entrance featured a large canopy over the driveway, making it look impressive.
Upon entering, the check-in counter was on the left side.
On the right side, there was a restaurant that served as the breakfast venue.
Walking down the hallway in front of the entrance, you’ll find the check-in counter. In front of it is a two-story glass-walled lobby.
After completing check-in, I headed to my room. The elevator hall on the first floor had three guest elevators.
I took the elevator to the 9th floor, where my room was located. Security required a key card.
The first floor houses the front desk and a restaurant, the second floor has meeting rooms, and floors 3 to 14 are all guest rooms.
I arrived at the elevator hall on the 9th floor, where I was staying.

Each floor had a vending machine corner.
Accommodation Price: Is It Worth the Cost?
・Hotel prices can vary significantly depending on the season and day of the week. A one-day difference can lead to price changes of several thousand yen.
・The price for my stay at Mercure Hotel Okinawa Naha was about 14,000 yen per night (tax included). Since it was a holiday weekend, the price might have been slightly higher.
