All photos in this article, unless otherwise specified, were personally taken by me during my visit. I hope you enjoy these authentic and original captures!

When I went on a trip to Okinawa, I stayed at the “Daiwa Roynet Hotel Okinawa Prefectural Office,” so I would like to share my stay experience.

“The Daiwa Roynet Hotel Okinawa Kencho-mae is located a 3-minute walk from Yui Rail Asahibashi Station in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture.” It was a convenient hotel for sightseeing, located just a 4-minute walk from Kokusai-Dori Street, a famous tourist spot in Naha City.

After actually staying at the “Daiwa Roynet Hotel Okinawa Kencho-mae,” I was particularly impressed by the following three points.

  1. Location 3 minutes on foot from Yui Rail station
  2. Location about 4 minutes on foot to Kokusai-Dori Street
  3. Clean and comfortable guest rooms

In this accommodation diary, I would like to focus on conveying the atmosphere of the hotel primarily through photos.

3-Minute Walk from Yui Rail Asahibashi Station

“Daiwa Roynet Hotel Okinawa Kencho-mae” is situated a 4-minute walk from Yui Rail Asahibashi Station in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture.

Located just a 4-minute walk from Kokusai-Dori Street and surrounded by numerous commercial facilities and restaurants, it is situated right in the heart of Naha City, offering a convenient location.

The hotel is a splendid building with 11 floors. As you can see from the photo below, the transportation is convenient enough that you can see the monorail line nearby. It was a hotel conveniently located about a 10-minute taxi ride from Naha Airport.

Introducing the guest room (Standard Room)

This time, we stayed in a “Standard Room.”

It is a compact guest room of about 16.5 square meters with a desk in the back and a bed in the front.

The bed was 154 cm wide, providing plenty of space for a single person to stay.

There was a compact table set next to the bed.

The entire side by the window was made into a built-in desk, integrated with a shelf that held things like the TV stand and refrigerator.

The desk was spacious, and I thought it was also ideal for business trips and professional use. At first, there were a lot of flyers and it felt cluttered, but once I organized them to the side, my desk became neat and tidy.

The drawer contained a smartphone charging cable, a laundry bag, hotel information, and other items.

In the top drawer, there were free tea bags and various cups placed.

An electric kettle was stored in the bottom drawer.

The refrigerator was empty and there was no minibar, but there are vending machine corners in the communal areas (4th, 6th, and 9th floors).

The refrigerator was designed to be turned on and off with a switch. In the case of compact business hotels, the noise from the refrigerator can be bothersome when trying to sleep, so it’s nice to be able to easily turn off the power.

It is the control panel for the lighting on the bed. There are outlets available, so it’s convenient for charging your smartphone while you sleep.

It’s a bedside lamp. You can adjust the brightness.

There was also an air purifier.

The entrance area has an open-type closet. There were hangers, spare pillows, and deodorizing spray.

Under the closet, there were shoe care products, a suitcase rack, and slippers.

There were coat hooks in the hallway.

Pants presses are also provided.

The swimwear was a one-piece type with the top and bottom connected.

These are the switches next to the entrance.

The wallpaper is white to beige vertical stripes.

The floor was covered with a brown carpet.

The guest rooms were on the 7th floor on the south side. From the window, you could see the scenery to a certain extent, but since it was a hotel in an urban area, it was surrounded by apartment buildings. Depending on the direction, you might see a more open view.

This is the floor plan of the 7th floor where we stayed. It has an L-shaped building structure.

Exploring Bathroom Designs

The bathroom was a unit bath with both a toilet and a bathtub combined.

Amenities included a toothbrush, hairbrush, and cotton swabs.

The toilet is equipped with a bidet function.

Bathtubs are also common.

Introducing the Entrance

Let’s take a look at the hotel entrance.

There are always shisa at the hotels in Okinawa, aren’t there?

Upon entering the entrance, the guest elevators were in front and the counter was at the back.

I checked in at the counter in the back.

After checking in, you pay the money at the automatic payment machine located behind the counter.

There was also a lounge.

There are two elevators. I headed to the guest room floor over here.

Exploring Shared Hallways

The elevator is secured with a card key system.  There are vending machine corners on the 4th, 6th, and 9th floors, and there is a coin laundry on the 6th floor.

This is the elevator hall on the 7th floor, which is the accommodation level. It was spacious.

It is the common hallway of the guest rooms. It was bright and clean.

What Are the Current Hotel Prices?

・Hotel rates vary significantly depending on the time (season or day of the week). It is quite common for the price to differ by several thousand yen just by shifting the date by one day.

・The price I paid for staying at “Daiwa Roynet Hotel Okinawa Kencho-mae” was about 6,800 yen (including tax) per night. It’s reasonable. Hotel prices in Japan have been soaring recently, so they are likely even higher now.
