Discover Marina Bay in the Heart of Singapore

“Marina Bay Sands Singapore” is an iconic building situated in the Marina Bay area, which is at the center of Singapore.

The photo below is a quote from Google Street View. The infinity pool on the rooftop used in SMAP’s commercials is so famous that there is hardly anyone who doesn’t know about it.

First Impressions: What the Guest Rooms Offer

This time, I booked the “Deluxe King Sky View Room,” located on a high-rise floor above the 40th level, facing the city’s marina view.

If you’re going to stay at Marina Bay Sands, rather than a “Garden View” room facing Gardens by the Bay on the sea side, I recommend the “Marina View” room where I stayed this time, which gives you a better sense of Singapore’s urban feel.

The room was designed with depth, having a bed at the front and a sofa and desk at the back. The room feels larger than it actually is due to the view spreading out from the floor-to-ceiling windows.

The bed was king-sized and very comfortable.

The TV is sufficiently large at 42 inches. If you brought an HDMI cable, you could also connect the device you brought.

It’s the sofa corner by the window.

There was a two-seater sofa and a one-seater sofa, and there was ample space.

The view from the sofa corner is superb, allowing you to forget time and relax in comfort.

The study desk is also by the window. The leather chairs gave a sense of luxury.

Stunning Marina Views from the High Floors

The “Deluxe King Sky View Room” where I stayed this time was a city-side room guaranteed to be on the 40th floor or above, and the view from the high floor was superb.

You can enjoy the changing scenery from noon to evening to night. I could gaze at it all day without getting bored.

You can also view the tourist attractions facing Marina Bay in Singapore. The Merlion Park was also visible in front.

The Esplanade Theatre, famous for its durian-shaped roof.

The Apple Store that opened in 2020, floating on the sea.

This is also a Louis Vuitton floating on the sea.

The ArtScience Museum shaped like a lotus leaf.

Inside the Luxurious Bathroom Designs

The room I stayed in this time did not have a bathtub, but it had a sufficiently spacious shower room which was comfortable.

It is a spacious washbasin counter.

All the basic amenities are provided.

The shower was a fixed-type shower. The water flow was sufficiently strong.

The amenities were from the Italian brand “Roberto Cavalli.”

There was no washlet in the toilet.

The hair dryer also had sufficient airflow.

Closet Space and Storage: Practical Tips

There is a closet facing the hallway as you enter the entrance. In the closet, there are items such as bathrobes, an iron, an ironing board, and slippers.

In the other door, there was a safe, a magnifying glass, and other items stored.

The open-type shelves contain an espresso machine, an electric kettle, and various dishes.

In the drawer, there were instant coffee, tea bags, snack cookies, and the like.

There is a refrigerator at the bottom. All the snack foods and the contents of the refrigerator are free, making it a very good deal.

All the drinks in the refrigerator can be consumed for free.

Room Features and Details I Loved

We will take a closer look at the details inside the guest room. There is a large full-length mirror next to the entrance.

These are the switches next to the entrance. A switch to turn on when housekeeping is needed was placed along with the light switches.

There is also a foldable baggage rack, which is very convenient.

It’s a bedside table.

Every day, 4 bottles of mineral water were replenished.

It is the bedside table on the opposite side.

You could control the lighting and curtains throughout the room with the switch on top of the bedside table. There was one power outlet and two USB ports, which was convenient for charging during bedtime.

These are the outlets on the upper part of the desk by the window. There were two power outlets and two USB outlets.

It’s the wallpaper on the side of the bed. It was a luxurious pattern with a hint of gold.

The carpet had a golden-colored pattern and felt luxurious.

I tried ordering room service. We mainly ordered local food, and it cost us about 100 dollars for two.

This is the floor plan of the 42nd floor where I stayed. The rooms are all the same size except for the corners. The rooms at the top of the floor plan have a garden view, while the rooms at the bottom have a city view.

My Experience with the Iconic Infinity Pools

I will introduce the infinity pool, which is the main feature of Marina Bay Sands.

This pool is only accessible to guests staying at the hotel, so many people stay at the Marina Bay Sands just to use this pool.

Card keys, given to each registered guest, are required to enter the pool area, and they are rigorously checked at the gate.

There are many chairs by the poolside, and we were able to spend time comfortably.

The infinity pool that connected with the sky was amazing.

Isn’t this one of the top-class pools in the world?

It is very impressive with the large pool on the high floor.

The edge of the infinity pool is designed like this, so it is safe.

The night view is also the best.

I recommend going to the pool during both the day and the night time.

There was also a shop by the poolside selling swimwear and accessories.

There is a restaurant on one side of the pool, and it can be used not only by guests staying at the hotel but also by others.

In addition to a city view, you can also see a garden view.

I was able to overlook Gardens by the Bay and the sea.

When I went into the infinity pool, I took a video, so please take a look!

Exploring the Stunning Common Areas and Lobbies

I will introduce the entrance lobby.

The room I stayed in this time was located in “Tower 3,” so I completed the check-in process at the counter in Tower 3.

The elevator for Tower 3 is located right next to the check-in counter.

The lobby is a spacious area with a high ceiling.

The huge planter and plants were impressive.

The main check-in counter and concierge are located at the entrance of Tower 1.

There is also a gift shop that sells goods such as Marina Bay Sands merchandise.

What to Expect in the Hallways

After checking in, we will go up to the guest room floor on the 42nd floor by elevator.

The view of the city opens up from the elevator hall, creating a feeling of openness.

It is a communal hallway with a calm, wooden decor.

The entrance door of the guest room also had a calm atmosphere with its wood carvings.

You could also enjoy the view from the window at the end of the shared corridor.

Fitness Facilities and Saunas: A Personal Review

I went to the fitness gym and sauna located in “Tower 2.”

The fitness gym is located on a high floor, so you can exercise in an open atmosphere with a wonderful view.

There were many types of fitness equipment available.

This is the view from the fitness gym.

The sauna is next to the fitness gym.

There were two types of saunas: a dry sauna and a steam sauna.

I also went to the spa on the 55th floor. The interior from the elevator hall was very luxurious.

I thought about getting a massage, but I couldn’t because all the reservations were full. Since it seemed very popular, a reservation is essential.

Sharing My Full Marina Bay Sands Experience

・Hotel rates vary considerably depending on the season (such as the time of year and day of the week) and exchange rates.

・It’s quite normal for the price to differ by several thousand yen just by shifting the date by one day. When I stayed at the “Deluxe King Sky View Room” in “Marina Bay Sands Singapore,” the price for two nights was around 1,100 SGD.

・I used the late checkout option to stay until 6 PM, which cost an additional +350 SGD

・The prices of hotels and commodities in Singapore have been rising sharply, so it might be difficult to book at this price now. Please check the current price via the direct links to the hotel booking sites below.
