[Hotel Review blog] Staying at Almont Hotel Naha Kenchomae – Just 3 Minutes from Yui Rail Kenchomae Station! Discover Compact and Clean Rooms (Okinawa Travel)

All photos in this article, unless otherwise specified, were personally taken by me during my visit. I hope you enjoy these authentic and original captures!

When I went on a trip to Okinawa, I stayed at the “Almont Hotel Naha Kenchomae” and I would like to share my review of the stay.

The “Almont Hotel Naha Kenchomae” is conveniently located approximately a 3-minute walk from the Yui Rail Kenchomae Station in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture, and about a 5-minute walk to Naha City’s famous tourist destination, “Kokusai Dori” (International Street).

After actually staying there, it was a comfortable hotel that served as a base for sightseeing in Okinawa.

For this trip to Okinawa, I arrived at Naha Airport on a night flight and planned to head to Nago City in the northern part the following morning, so I was looking for an affordable hotel to stay at just for one night in the city of Naha.

“The Almont Hotel Naha Kenchomae” is conveniently located about 10 minutes by taxi from the airport, and it was the perfect hotel to meet our needs.

After actually staying at “Almont Hotel Naha Kenchomae,” I was particularly impressed by the following three points.

  1. A convenient location just a 3-minute walk from the Yui Rail station
  2. Also within walking distance to Kokusai Dori
  3. Clean and appealing interior

In this accommodation review, I would like to focus on conveying the atmosphere of the hotel primarily through photos.

3-Minute Walk from Yui Rail Kenchomae Station

Located a 3-minute walk from Yui Rail Kenchomae Station, “Almont Hotel Naha Kenchomae” is conveniently situated in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture. It is also about a 5-minute walk to Kokusai Street.

In the vicinity, there is a large shopping center called “Ryubo” that is directly connected to the prefectural office station, along with many restaurants and shops, making it a very convenient location.

It is a hotel located in the downtown area of Naha City, housed in a magnificent 12-story building. There are several convenience stores and pharmacies nearby, which I think makes it convenient for a long-term stay.

Introducing Our Compact Double Rooms

This time, we have booked a “Compact Double Room.”

It is a compact guest room of about 15 square meters with a sofa in the front and a double bed in the back.

By the window, there is a double bed that is 140 cm wide.

The entire backside of the bed was a horizontal mirror.

In the front part of the guest room, there was an L-shaped sofa and an oval table. On the wall opposite the bed, there was a shelf integrated with a wall-mounted LCD TV. There is also an air purifier next to the shelf.

On the upper shelf, there was an electric kettle, complimentary tea bags, and various cups.

In the drawer, there was a folding mirror and a laundry bag.

There was a refrigerator, but there was no minibar. In exchange, there is a drink bar in the communal space on the first floor where you can get beverages for free.

It’s a bedside table. There was a phone, a notepad, and in the back, a hair dryer was stored.

It is a bedside lighting control panel. It was convenient because you could place small items such as smartphones and glasses in the niche area. There is also a multi-terminal cable available that can charge smartphones, which is convenient.

It is an analog alarm clock.

There is an open-type closet near the entrance.

There were items like deodorizing spray and a shoehorn placed at your feet.

This is a simple bench and slippers by the entrance of the guest room.

It is a monochrome floral swimwear. Swimwear was okay to wear to the large public bath.

Here is the hotel information I received at the front desk.

Exploring Bathroom Designs

The bathroom was a typical unit bath.

The amenities included a toothbrush, hairbrush, razor, and cotton swabs.

There is also a bathtub. We didn’t use the bathtub in the guest room because we used the large public bath.

This is the refill bottle type of body soap, shampoo, and conditioner from “MIKIMOTO COSMETICS.”

It’s a Panasonic-made hair dryer. The airflow was weak because it is a small type.

Introducing the Entrance Facilities

This is the entrance of the hotel.

It was a splendid entrance decorated with Shisa.

When you enter the entrance, there is a lobby with a sofa in the center, and you can see the guest room elevators in the back.

The check-in counter is immediately on your right as you enter.

I completed the check-in process at this counter.

To the further right of the check-in counter, there was a room resembling a café-library, named “Relaxation Space.”

There was a drink bar, and you could have drinks for free anytime until 10 PM.

This is the aquarium that was in the entrance lobby.

Exploring Common Areas

After completing the check-in, we headed to the guest room floors via the elevator.

The guest rooms are located from the 2nd to the 12th floor, and there is a large public bath on the top floor.

This is the elevator hall on the 7th floor, which is designated for guest rooms. It was a brightly-lit communal corridor, mainly decorated in gray and white.

There is also a large public bath called “Yon na no Yu” on the 12th floor. The unit bath in the guest room is not very spacious, so the spacious public bath was very comfortable.

Recommended Dinner Spot: “Kumozaki” Izakaya Nearby

Since we arrived at Naha Airport late, it was around 8 pm by the time we arrived at “Almont Hotel Naha Kenchomae” by taxi.

I went for a stroll around the hotel to find a place to eat dinner, and found a nice izakaya called “Kumozaki,” which was just a 1-minute walk from the hotel, and decided to go in.

As a result, I was able to enjoy very delicious food at a reasonable price and was very satisfied.

What Are the Accommodation Prices?

・Hotel rates vary significantly depending on the season and day of the week. It is quite common for prices to differ by several thousand yen just by shifting the date by a day.

・The price for my stay at the “Almont Hotel Naha Kenchomae” was  about ¥8,500 (tax included) per night. I thought it was very reasonable for a hotel with a good location and a large public bath.
